Its easy to think that dropping the 'lore' on people is the worldbuilding/the world

A world is more than that.

The world is full of games that no-one plays anymore - they didn't take on a life of their own.

A world is about the experience paradigm - how do people engage with that world.

Lost took on a life of its own - the creators had a lot of fun dropping eater eggs into things not sure where they were going to go
